Kabkabiya, April 29 (Darfur 24)
The Sudanese army has began airdropping military equipment to the forces of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, led by the renowned tribal leader Musa Hilal.
Head of the Mahamid clan, Musa Hilal, announced last week his stance with the Sudanese army which is waging war against the Rapid Support Forces RSF .
Reliable sources told “Darfur 24” that during the past two days, the army’s warplanes airdroped military supplies to the forces of the Revolutionary Awakening Council.
According to the source, the airdrop operation took place near Kabkabiya locality in North Darfur state, and the sources described it as successful.
It is expected that Musa Hilal’s actual participation in the fighting will raise disagreements among the Arab tribes in the Darfur region, which the Rapid Support Forces rely on to recruit most of their fighters.
