Port Sudan , March 31( Darfur 24)
On Saturday, the Civil Democratic Forces Coordination CCDF called on the Rapid Support Forces to stop the violations committed by its members in Al-Jazira State and hold those involved accountable and provide reparation to the victims.
RSF expanded the scope of their violations in the villages of Al-Jazeera State that they attack, where they kill and plunder their residents while humiliating them and displacing them from their homes.
In a statement obtained by Darfur 24, CCDF condemned the violations committed against civilians in Al-Jazira State.
It held RSF responsible for the protection of civilians and the safety of their property and lives in the areas under its control.
CCDF called on the Rapid Support Forces to recognize the crimes committed by its members in the state of Al-Jazira and commit to not repeating them, stopping them immediately, taking public measures against the perpetrators of the violations, bringing them to trial, and reparating and compensating the victims.
It considered the scale of the violations taking place in Gezira State to be a violation of the commitments made by the Rapid Support in the Addis Ababa Declaration, especially the provisions on protecting and ensuring the safety of civilians and working to return them to their homes.
At the beginning of this year, CCDF and Rapid Support signed a declaration of principles in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, which included the necessity of working to stop the war peacefully and protect civilians.
