El Fasher , March 25(Darfur 24)
For the first time since the outbreak of war, the Sudanese army launched night airstrikes on the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, which the Rapid Support Forces are trying to control and tighten their grip on it.
The warplanes intensified their air strikes on the city of El Fasher, trying to harm the hard power of the Rapid Support Forces, but there are reports that some of the raids are bombing civilian targets.
The Coordination of the Resistance Committees in El Fasher said, in a statement seen by Darfur 24, that “warplanes launched air strikes on the city of El Fasher in different directions.”
He pointed out that the raids targeted Al-Wefaq neighborhood in the northern sector of the city, factories in the eastern sector, and East Al-Wahda in the southern sector, where some residential homes were destroyed, causing the displacement of some citizens from Al-Wefaq neighborhoods and factories.
“Darfur 24” was not able to immediately obtain any injuries or victims in the night raids on El Fasher.
The Coordination Committee reported that warplanes launched night raids on the city of Kutum, which is approximately 120 kilometers away from El Fasher.
