The governor of Darfur region and chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement r Arko Minawi spoke about the deployment of his forces in some areas.

Minawi had announced the readiness of his forces with the armed forces to secure the radio and television sites after the army took control of them on March 12.
Minawi stressed that his movement bears the name “Liberation of Sudan” and not “Liberation of Darfur,” adding, “Our duty is to protect any place in Sudan that needs protection and security, not just radio and television.”
The Darfur track movements announced their departure from neutrality in mid-November, after which coordination with the army began in military operations and political positions.

Regarding his coordination with the army regarding the process of regaining control over Al-Jazira State, Minawi said briefly, “We have operational military arrangements that concern us in the movement, and I do not want to disclose them now.”

In his comment on the statement of the Rapid Support Forces rejecting the Al-Daba Al-Fasher route to deliver aid, which was agreed upon between the regional government and humanitarian organizations, he expressed his astonishment at the position of the Rapid Support Forces, considering it a war crime. Minawi described the Rapid Support statement as “dumb and stupid.” He added: “Minawi does not receive direct aid. All stages of providing humanitarian aid are carried out by organizations.”
A statement issued by the Rapid Support Forces accused the governor of the region of storing relief and diverting it for his personal benefit. The statement considered that the path that was identified was a cover for arms transfer operations for the benefit of “supporters of the former regime,” according to the statement’s description.
Minawi said sarcastically, “Who are the supporters of the former regime?” He continued, “All the Islamists in Darfur work with the Rapid Support.” Regarding Darfur 24’s question about his recent foreign movements, Minawi said that his meetings with Egyptian officials confirmed that the Egyptian position still sees and adheres to the need for the solution to be in Sudanese hands, adding that he met with French and German officials, where humanitarian issues dominated the discussion, in addition to discussions about the differences between political forces. And the necessity of its unity.
Minawi expressed his lack of interest in communicating with the Taqadum Civil Forces Alliance, saying, “Our communication with Taqadum is not effective.” He explained that his interest is in the necessity of consensus among all Sudanese, including Taqadum, considering that the political solution begins with a comprehensive dialogue that does not exclude anyone.
