El Fasher, Feb 9 (-Darfur24)

Sudanese army warplanes launched 8 air strikes with barrel bombs this Friday morning on the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, targeting the eastern neighborhoods adjacent to the stock exchange, the land port, and the Jadid al-Sail area north of El Fasher.

Eyewitnesses told “Darfur 24” that aircraft targeted Al-Jabal neighborhoods and factories without knowing whether there were human or material losses.

A medical source at Al-Fasher Southern Hospital confirmed to Darfur 24 that no wounded people had arrived at the hospital.

The flight of military aircraft in the sky of the city of El Fasher caused panic among the citizens, forcing dozens to flee from the northern and eastern neighborhoods and travel to the city of Melit (66 km) north of the city of El Fasher.

The “Darfur 24” correspondent saw the citizens’ stampede towards the Mellit stop, prompting bus owners to raise the ticket price to 20,000 pounds from 10,000 pounds.

Sudanese warplanes launched air strikes last Tuesday on the Al-Zarq area, leaving 5 dead and 22 wounded, and destroying facilities, service institutions, and water stations in the area.

Two weeks ago, military aircraft launched air strikes on the Jadid al-Sil area, north of El Fasher, causing the death of dozens of camels in the area.
