Khartoum , December 31(Darfur 24) The governor of the Nile River State, Mohamed Al-Badawi, announced that he gave supporters and members of Forces of Freedom and Change FFC , and what he described as supporters of the Rapid Support Forces, 72 hours to leave the state.
The governor’s statements came during his address yesterday to a tribal crowd in the city of Shendi, the largest city in the state, as part of tribal mobilization adopted by the forces of Omar al-Bashir’s regime to support the Burhan government against the Rapid Support Forces and the political forces and civilian formations that reject the continuation of the war.
He said, “From here, I am sending my message to any traitor, collaborator, fifth columnist, collaborator, rebel collaborator, or member of the Forces of Freedom and Change. It is best to leave this state before the end of the three days.”
The governor, requested the above-mentioned, to carry their bags and leave immediately, amidst the cheering of the crowds, while he was surrounded by senior army commanders and government officials in the state.
Several political and civil parties condemned the governor’s speech, led by the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and ChangeFFC. Some parties considered that the mobilization practiced by supporters of the continuation of the war and the forces of the former regime aims to drag the country into civil war.
