Nyala, December 14(Darfur 24) 13 people reportedly killed and injured as military aircrafts bombed the city of Nyala on Thursday afternoon. The bombing also destroyed several buildings in the Almatar neighborhood, West Al-Sikka, and Al-Jir neighborhoods. North, center and west of the city.
A resident of the city of Nyala, Khaled Ibrahim Ali, told Darfur 24 that the most widely circulated news is that six people were killed and seven others were injured in the three areas that were targeted this afternoon by a warplane.
The editor of Darfur 24 watched a number of video clips in which the filmmakers talked about the deaths and injuries and the destruction of homes on Thursday, by air strikes, without specifying specific statistics.
Meanwhile, the Community Initiative in South Darfur organized a protest to denounce the aerial bombardment carried out by the armed forces in the city of Nyala. The initiative urged residents to take to the streets tomorrow and condemn air strikes on civilian targets.
Since the outbreak of war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, military aircraft have targeted populated areas, resulting in deaths and injuries and the destruction of dozens of homes as well as governmental and private institutions in the cities of Khartoum, Nyala and El Daein.
