Khartoum , Nov.30,(Darfur24)Darfur 24
The Executive Office for the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces CCDF said that it had approved a draft road map to end the war, achieve peace, and establish a sustainable civil democratic transition in Sudan.
It mentioned in a statement seen by Darfur 24 that the approval of the project came after extensive discussions that took place over the past few days, aiming to come up with practical visions that would accelerate the end of the fighting between the army and the Rapid Support forces RSF and put an end to the humanitarian catastrophe that befell millions of Sudanese people.
The statement indicated that the map presented practical proposals on how to support the ongoing efforts in the Jeddah platform to reach a cessation of hostilities that develop a comprehensive ceasefire with effective monitoring mechanisms, and how to link these efforts to a comprehensive political process that does not exclude anyone except the “National Conference/Islamic Movement and their facades” in order to achieve a solution. A final, negotiated political process based on basic principles that achieve comprehensive peace and sustainable democratic civil transformation – as the statement put it.
The Executive Office said that the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces will immediately embark on a broad internal and external movement to present the ideas contained in the map, and advance efforts to reach a peaceful, negotiated political solution that will put an end to the ongoing war in the country.
