The International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC said Thursday that it had received from the Rapid Support Forces RSF 70 Army Prisoners of War from and in turn handed them over to their families in the city of Nyala, the provincial capital of South Darfur state.
RSF posted on its social media platforms an ICRC official receiving Army POW released by RSF.
While a representative of the family of one of the prisoners said that the employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross told them to come to receive their released sons, and he added: Praise be to God, now we have received our son and he is in good health.
Meanwhile, officials of the Rapid Support Forces in South Darfur said that this batch of released prisoners is the second batch, as last July they released more than 60 prisoners from their detention centers in the city of Nyala.
