Port Sudan, September 20(Darfur 24) The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, headed today, Wednesday, to New York City, the United States of America, heading the Sudanese delegation participating in the work of the seventy-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly.

 

Al-Burhan is scheduled to deliver Sudan’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly next Friday.

The Sovereignty Council media said that Al-Burhan will participate in high-level meetings to discuss strengthening multilateral cooperation regarding the various international and regional issues raised.

 

Chairman of the Sovereignty Council will also meet, on the sidelines of the 78th session, with a number of presidents and heads of state from various countries of the world and representatives from international and regional organizations, to discuss ways of bilateral cooperation and the role of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations to build a more stable future.

The 78th session of the United Nations continues for a week, with about 150 heads of state and government from all over the world delivering their speeches at this annual meeting.
