Khartoum, September 16(Darfur24)Today, Saturday, the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, witnessed an escalation of the battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces as the war between the two parties enters its sixth month.

The Rapid Support Forces RSF intensified their attacks on the General Command of the Armed Forces, and destroyed the Navy Tower, while the latter bombed rapid support sites east of the Army headquarters.

Spokesperson for the armed forces, Brigadier Nabil Abdullah, told Darfur 24 that the Rapid Support Forces tried to attack some of the advanced sites in the vicinity of the general command of the army, but they retreated.

 

While the Rapid Support Forces forces released videos that they said were from the General Command of the Army.

 

Meanwhile, the smoke columns were in the areas of central Khartoum due to the clashes in which heavy weapons were used, and the two parties exchanged artillery shelling between the North Bahri area, which is controlled by the Rapid Support Forces and the Wadi Sidna area.

 

These developments come in conjunction with the visit of the army commander, the head of the Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al -Burhan, to Uganda in the framework of his external trips, where he held a talks with Ugandan President Yuri Museveni

Ambassador Ali Al -Sadiq, who accompanied Alburhan on his trip, said that the presidents’ talks focused on the situation in Khartoum and Darfur and the widespread sabotage of the country as a result of the war.
