El Daein, Septemper 15 ( Darfur 24) On Thursday night, unknown gunmen abducted trader ,Mohamed Karar, owner of the Malaysian Iron and Steel Factory stores, in the city of El Daein, the provincial capital of East Darfur, near his home in the Nahda neighborhood.
The gunmen had previously kidnapped a merchant a month ago and did not release him until he paid a ransom of 21 million pounds.
A son of a businessman in the city of Al Daein was also abducted two weeks ago by gunmen on board a small “Atoz” vehicle, but they released him without compensation after his family refused to pay the ransom, requested by the kidnappers.
According to the Darfur 24 correspondent, on the same day, Thursday, that the businessman was released in the morning, the owner of the shops of the Malaysian Iron and Steel Factory in the city of El Daein was kidnapped in the evening.
During the past week, three traders were also subjected to a kidnapping attempt, which was foiled by citizens leaving while gunmen opened fire to force the merchants to be taken away by forces.
In recent years, during the security unrest that the Darfur region has witnessed, the phenomenon of kidnapping v their release has spread.
