Sudanese army aircrafts conducted airstrikes on a number of sites in the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur.
An eyewitness said that the aircraft bombed the Omdurman parking lot in the Malja market, north of the city, which led to the death of an unlimited number of civilians. He added: “After we heard the sound of the bombing, I went to the Malja market and saw a number of residents and tea sellers who were killed as a result of the bombing.”
Eyewitnesses in the city reported that military aircraft continued to fly over the city for a period of time, while they heard the sounds of ground anti-aircraft missiles of the Rapid Support Forces.
While another source said that the aircraft also bombed a site in Alsah- Al Aly neighborhood north of the Congo Cemeteries in the center of the city, in addition to the popular market south of the city, but he did not confirm whether there were casualties in this area, while eyewitnesses said that a number of the injured were taken to Al-Wahda Health Center. South of the city.
Meanwhile, an activist wrote on social media that the shelling led to the death of six people and the injury of others east of the technical school, next to the public university housing south of the city of Nyala.
This is the second time that the Sudanese army has used military aircraft in Nyala, as two weeks ago it bombed several areas in the city’s neighborhoods, leaving a number of deaths and destroying citizens’ homes.
