The Sudanese minister of health, Dr. Haytham Ibrahim visited shelters that house IDPs who fled Khartoum as the result of the fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary rapid support forces RSF.
According to the international organization for migration IOM that IDPs who taken shelter in the White Nile State since the eruption of conflict between the Sudanese army and RSF are estimated at 180.000.
Haytham saw for himself the situation of IDPs and listened to their complaints.
The federal minister of health directed state ministry of health to liaise with the organisations working in the health field so as provide medical and health services to the vulnerable IDPs in the State.
