Nyala, July 16(Darfur24)The paramilitary rapid support forces RSF has rejected the latest Human rights watch HRW report in which the latter accused RSF of killing 87 members of Massalit tribe in burying them in mass grave near the town of Misterei , West of El-geneina the provincial capital of west Darfur state.
RSF described HRW report as baseless and called for independent and neutral inquiry into the alleged killing of 87 people from Massalit tribe..
Addressing a session of the UN security council on Thursday, prosecutor of the International criminal court ICC Karim Ahmed Khan, announced that his office would investigate war crimes alleged committed by the rapid support forces RSF in West Darfur state, including killing of 87 ethic Massalit.
Khan called on the government of Sudan to assist the Hague based court through provision of evidence and facts that lead to incrimination of those who committed crimes against civilians .
