Entebbe, June 3(Darfur24)Ugandan president Yueri mouseveni said that he would be contacting leaders of the Sudanese army and the paramilitary rapid support forces RSF to urge them resort to peaceful political solution.
Ugandan president affirmed during his meeting with Sudanese political leaders at the palace in Entebbe Monday that solution to the conflict should be based on the cessation of hostilities to arrive at democratic and civilian solution as well as a unified army and reconciliation between components of the Sudanese people.
Mouseveni stressed his readiness to continue efforts to assist Sudan surpass the current crisis and return of peace and stability to the country.
The visiting Sudanese delegation, included, Dr.Alhadi Idriss, Altahir Hajar, Mohamed Alfakai, Mohd Hasan Altaishi, Dr. Nasereldine Abdelbari, Yasir Arman and khalid Omer.
International and regional initiatives have so far failed to find solutions to the conflict between the powerful paramilitary rapid support forces RSF and the Sudanese army.
War between the two Generals which erupted mid-April , left thousands civilians dead and displaced 2.5 people from Khartoum and other states.
