Nyala, June 17(Darfur 24)The United States of America and Saudi Arabia have said the warring parties in Sudan have agreed on a 72-hour ceasefire starting Sunday , 6 am local time, to allow delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies.
As facilitators , Saudi Arabia and the US have previously mediated several truces between RSF and the Sudanese army,all were violated with the exception of one .
War between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary rapid support forces RSF erupted mid-April in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, then spread to the volatile region of Darfur in the West , leaving over 900 people dead and nearly 5000 injured.
