The document a result of communal initiative led by Nyala community leaders and civil society organisations aiming at stopping war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces RSF in Nyala, South Darfur..

However, Nyala witnessed fighting between RSF and SAf , where outlaws took advantage of the conflict, looted, burned and ransacked many government institutions, markets,INGO premises and private houses..

Fighting between the parties to the conflict has left more than 70 dead and ove 300 hundred injured..

Executive office of the native administration handed over a document signed by 80 tribal leaders to the governor of South Darfur, Hamid Hanoon in the presence of South Darfur tribal community leaders..

Signatories of the document, pledged unity of the rank, coherence of the internal front and bridging gap of confidence among the state,’s tribes as well as fighting outlaws..

The document also called for combating and rejecting hate speech and prohibition of public platforms that incide violence.

The document urged police, public prosecution and native administration to carry out their tasks so as to curb chaos..

Community leaders and civil society organisations have pledged to work for realization of stability and develop the newly signed document into a chatter of peace agreed upon and supported by South Darfur community.
