Nyala, April 25( Darfur24) According to the Sudanese police, nearly 750 prisoners in Nyala Prison, the capital of South Darfur State, managed to escape after demonstrations and riots carried out by the prisoners, demanding their release, similar to what happened to prisoners in several prisons in Sudan after the fighting between the Sudanese army, forces and rapid support.
The Director of South Darfur State Police, Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al -Zain, told Darfur 24 that the demonstrations and riots witnessed in the prison yesterday night allowed this number of prisoners to escape the impact of their ability to penetrate the southern wall of the prison and open a large window with it.
Muhammad added that the riots resulted in the injury of three policemen with varying injuries as a result of the use of stones and other tools, but he stressed that it is not among the fleeing fleeing prisoners waiting or convicted of murders and serious crimes due to their presence inside the cells.
Several Sudanese prisons in Omdurman, Khartoum and El -Fasher witnessed the liberation of their prisoners by unknown gunmen, while the two parties exchanged accusations between them regarding those who initiated prisons and release the prisoners inside.
