El-Geneina, April 11(Darfur24) Government authorities in  Forbaranga locality of West Darfur  state , confirmed  Tuesday, that death toll of the tribal fighting that has been  taking place in the locality yesterday and today amounted to more than 14 dead and dozens  wounded, while the security forces clashed with gunmen who tried to loot the market.

 

Acting Executive Director of Forbaranga locality, Muhammad Hussein Taiman, told Darfur 24 that the number of victims of the tribal clashes that took place in For Baranga yesterday, Monday, amounted to 14 dead and dozens wounded, while the victims of Tuesday’s clashes were not counted.

 

He pointed out that gunmen using cars, motorcycles, horses and camels launched an attack  today, Tuesday on several residential neighborhoods in the city of Forbaranga.

 

He added that the security forces clashed with the gunmen to prevent them from looting and stealing the grand  market.

 

Timan revealed the arrival of military reinforcements from the capital of the state, El Geneina, to Fore Baranga,  indicating  that they were few compared  to the number of the outlaws.

 

He called for more security forces and said the situation now is very dangerous and needs urgent intervention.

 

Timan  Pointed out that more than six residential neighborhoods were completely looted and that the security forces are working to protect the market and vital sites inside the city.

He warned that the number of human losses is inaccurate and that there are a number of deaths that have not been counted.
