IDP community leader , Daoud Othman, told Darfur 24 that the displaced people have been facing extremely complex humanitarian conditions for more than three months, after the Italian organization Kobe and Welfare International stopped providing services in the camp and stopping the assistance provided to the IDPs.
Othman revealed the spread of diseases among the displaced, especially mothers and children, in light of the complete lack of primary care, which contributed to the high death rates among mothers and children.
Othman pointed out that the camp lacks all kinds of services, including health, education, and water services, revealing that IDPs travel more than 15 km to fetch water from the areas of “Tobo, Bole, Aramba, and Qagra.”
