El-Geineina( Darfur24)The border areas north of the state of West Darfur, adjacent to the state of Chad and the state of North Darfur, are witnessing suspicious activity by armed movements and tribal militias, amid news of imminent confrontations.
Governmental sources confirmed to Darfur 24 about movements of armed factions and tribal mobilizations in the areas of Al-Taweel, Abu Ardeeb, and some areas east of Kulbus locality and the outskirts of Jebel Moon in the state of West Darfur.
The government sources indicated that forces from one of the armed struggle movements that signed Juba Peace Agreement , along with tribal militias, visited the Al-Taweel area to pay tribute to the victims of the war in the region in 2001.
Meanwhile, sources close to the armed Arab tribes indicated that the visit of the armed movements and tribal militias to the areas of “Al-Taweel and Abu Qamra” aims to drag the region into a new war.
Government sources stated that the Security Committee of West Darfur state held an emergency meeting to find out the repercussions of these military moves and sent huge military reinforcements ..
