Zalengie ,December 28(Darfur24)n Death toll from violence in the city of Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur state, jumped to 4 as security forces cordoned the  city to prevent gunmen from  neighboring areas from entering the  town . .

 

Armed clashes broke out in the city of Zalingei before sunset, against the background of the death of a person in a quarrel between two, which developed into clashes with knives and firearms, and the burning of large parts of one of the city’s markets.

Sources told Darfur 24 that the number of victims of violence in the city of Zalingei until the moment the publishing  the news  reached 4 dead and 8 wounded.

 

The source  stated that the security forces surrounded the hospital and prevented citizens from entering for fear of clashes between those accompanying the wounded inside the hospital.

Eyewitness  TOLD  Darfur 24 that large numbers of citizens were seen  carrying weapons and moving around the streets, and that the sounds of gunfire can be heard throughout the city.
