El Geneina , December 25(Darfur24) A community leader of a displacement camp was killed on Saturday in the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state, in mysterious circumstances.
Sources told Darfur 24 that the sheikh of Imam al-Kadhim Center, Jumaa Zakariya Buki, was stabbed inside the shelter and died of his wounds.
The governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abdullah Abkar, said in a post on the official page of the state government on facebooknthat the security services rushed to the scene and arrested the accused to complete the necessary legal procedures.
He appealed to all citizens to be virtuous, patient, and deal with prudence and wisdom so that such incidents do not recur.
