Khartoum, November 7(Darfur24) Sudanese security forces raided a number of houses in different neighborhoods in the Haj Youssef area of East Nile locality, which resulted in the arrest of 4 activists, including a girl.
According to a list obtained by Darfur24, the detainees are Anwar and Ajouj, from the sons of Haj Youssef square 2, Basmat and Abu Derq, a worker from the Sega factory who live in Hajj Youssef square 4.
Haj Youssef Neighborhood Committees’ Gathering revealed in a statement that security forces on board 7 land crusers raided on Sunday a number of houses in the area and fired teargas.
Member of the Emergency Lawyers Committee, Rehab Mubarak, told Darfur 24 that they do not yet know where the detainees are being held, but she suggested that they are at the headquarters of the criminal investigations.
On October 28, the police issued a statement stating that they had found the body of a soldier belonging to the Central Reserve Forces with traces of an attack near Al-Jili area in Bahri city.
