Khartoum, October 22(Darfur24)The Forces of Freedom and Change FFC t(Central Council ) will hold an important meeting this evening, Saturday, October 22, with the representatives of the army including Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
The meeting comes within a series of meetings of FFC with the military side in an effort to reach an agreement that ends the coup and restores the democratic path.
The leader of the former Sudanese Professionals Association and advisor to the resigned Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, Dr. Amjad Farid, said in an interview with Darfur 24 to be published tomorrow that freedom and change, despite its repeated denials, has been, for the past weeks, engaged in direct negotiations with the military component.
He pointed out that the FFC coalition authorized 3 representatives -he refused to mention their names to meet with Al-Burhan today.
While FFC said in a press statement on Friday, October 21 – renewed their commitment to the Sudanese people and the forces resisting the coup by their adherence to achieving the legitimate aspirations of the Sudanese people in ending and defeating the coup, restoring the democratic transition and establishing civil constitutional institutions of governance.
Farid denounced FFC secret negotiation away from the street, and said that this would weaken its position in front of the other party and come up with an unequal settlement.
