Khatoum-Lagawa ,October 15(Darfur24) Clashes renewed between the Misseriya and Nuba tribes in Lagwa locality in West Kordofan state today, Saturday, following Friday’s communal violence , which left 4 dead and 7 wounded.
Today, Saturday, the fighting between the two sides spread to the city’s various neighborhoods, and the neighborhoods of “Karkady Waladi” were burned, forcing many citizens to take refuge in the army garrison.
The Executive Director of Lagawa Awadallah locality, Ahmed Khalil told Dafour24 that today’s clashes are heavier than yesterday, especially in the western neighborhoods of Debkaya, Karkady, and Saraf.
He added that the situation is now outside the control of the security services, with the widening circle of conflict and panic among the tribes, but there are preparations for government forces to intervene to separate the combatants.
Today, Awadallah denied to Dafur 24 that the SPLM was a party to this conflict, after accusing it earlier of interfering into the tribal conflict in Lagawa locality.
