Nyala, October 4(Darfur24) Farmers in the Daqris area, 22 kilometers west of the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, closed the Nyala-Ad Al-Fursan continental road at the Daqris bridge ,protesting against the government delay to send planes to combat starlings.
The protesters closed the only bridge in the area, which led to the accumulation of dozens of trucks on both sides.
The farmers of the area accuse the government of delaying in bringing the plane, which led to severe damage to their farms.
Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Agriculture and Livestock , Hammad Mohamed Moussa, confirmed to Darfur 24 that the government is continuing operations to combat starlings by planes and locusts by spraying foggy pumps.
