El-Fashir, August 24(Darfur24) Last Saturday, three Sudanese were abducted by gunmen in the (Triangle area )on the Sudanese-Libyan-Egyptian borders.

 The kidnappers demanded a ransom of 350 thousand Libyan dirhams in exchange for their release.

 Three Sudanese from the Shaver Leyte area in the border triangle between Sudan, Libya and Egypt  were travelling on a ZS truck heading  to  Sudanese territory, and armed men intercepted their way, after they crossed about 180 km south of the “Cheverlet” area and took them to an unknown destination.

The owner of the truck, Masoud Othman Muhammad, told Darfur 24 that the three Sudanese drove the truck from the Shafar Leit area last Friday, and that he lost contact with them hours after their departure.

 He stated that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 350,000 Libyan dirhams, and then reduced the amount to 100,000 dirhams
