El-fashir , August 16(Darfur24) The Director of the Dialysis Center in North Darfur, El Fasher, Dr. Tahani Adam Mohamed, announced the suspension of the center’s work due to the Ministry of Finance’s repudiation of its obligations towards the center .
Tahani pointed to a number of problems that have been hindering the center’s work, represented in the lack of sufficient money to run the center to cover the expenses related to fuel, for the generator, sanitation, maintenance, and the salaries of contracting doctors.
She added that the center received 50% of the total management, which does not cover the needs of the center, and can be employed for sanitation only, noting that the Ministry of Finance is now disavowing its obligations towards the center.
The director of the dialysis center added that the governor of the state, Nimr Muhammad Abdul Rahman, had pledged last February, during his visit to the center, to pay some financial obligations to solve some problems.
It is worth noting that the Higher Committee for Claiming Workers’ Benefits in North Darfur State has excluded the dialysis center and blood bank from the strike, which has entered its third week:
