Dalang, August 15(Darfur24) One person was killed and 10 others taken hostage by gunmen in a clash south of Daleng city, South Kordofan state.
Gunmen attacked nomads’ area and looted 80 heads of cows, so a group of the looted cow owners tracked the thieves. On their part, the gunmen set up an ambush for the livestock owners, killing one person and taking 10 hostages.
Suleiman al-Talib, one of the family members whose sons were kidnapped, said that a military group looted 80 heads of cows in the Karkaraya area on Friday night.
A statement issued by the Misseriya tribe youths accused the popular movement, led by El-Helou, of being behind the incident , appealing to the movement’s leadership to release the detainees’ captivity, return the looted cows, and hold the criminals accountable.
