El-Geneina, August 4 – Darfur24 has learned from official sources that the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, will leave today, Thursday, his temporary residence in El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, for the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, for a short visit that lasts several hours.
A government official informed Darfur24 that Dagalo will hold a meeting with Chadian President Mohamed Idriss Deby, and did not rule out participation of the governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, who has been in N’Djamena since last Tuesday in the talks.
Many parties speculate that the relationship between Daglo and Minawi has cooled recently, after it was in harmony after the famous meeting that brought them together in N’Djamena in the presence of the late Chadian President Idriss Deby, prior to the signing of the Juba Peace Agreement.
