Khartoum, July 20(Darfur24) Member of the Steering Committee of the Revolutionary Forces’ Unity Mechanism ,Omar Arbab said that the failure of the revolutionary forces to unite their ranks contributed to prolonging the October 25 coup, noting that it had become part of the crisis the country is witnessing and a partner in the repercussions of the coup in loss of lives, waste of state resources and international problems as well as tribal conflicts.
He appealed, through a dialogue conducted with him by Darfur24, to all the revolution’s forces to temporarily abandon the partisan and political agenda for the sake of the nation’s interest, stressing that any delay in achieving unity means the continuation of the coup.
Arbab said that the goals of the Revolutionary Forces Unity Mechanism revolve around the formation of a leadership body that includes all the anti-coup bodies in one entity.
Revealing the meeting of the mechanism and holding meetings with most of the anti-coup revolution forces in the capital, Khartoum, and a number of states, including Sennar and Blue Nile states, a meeting with the Gezira state professors’ assembly in Wad Madani, and another with the Communist Party, and an informal meeting with the Forces for Freedom and Change “Central Council” is underway.
The mechanism of the unity of the forces of the revolution includes a group of independent personalities who believe in the unity of the forces of the revolution, which prompted them to put forward an initiative different from the initiatives put forward by political parties.
Member of the mechanism described the recent threat to him as (ineffective harassment) and continued: These are matters that we are able to deal with and overcome, but the dilemma facing us now is the crisis of confidence between the forces of the revolution and the lack of a unified vision and leadership..
