Humanitarian  workers  in the region told Darfur 24 that the city of Damazin is still witnessing a state of chaos and violent attacks on the members of the Hausa tribe, despite the heavy deployment of army forces coming from the neighboring states.

The Ministry of Health said   65 people killed  and dozens more wounded since the start of  communal violence in the region two days ago.

The humanitarian worker, who requested that his name be withheld, stated that the army force that arrived in the city began evacuating the Hausa families through heavy guards out of the state at a time when the Alberta tribes closed all the roads out of the state, and warned that the state of violence does not allow the staff of humanitarian organizations  to assist the victims.

He pointed out that the army confronted thousands of residents of the northern neighborhoods of the city, who moved -this afternoon -towards the market to loot the shops, and added: If the army had not intervened and fired heavily on the air, the market would have been completely looted.

Eyewitnesses who spoke to Sudan Tribune website said that a group of families were gathered in the popular market in Damazin, mostly children, women and the elderly, in preparation for their transfer to safe areas.
