Khartoum, June 22(Darfur24) An official source told Darfur 24 that
the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court ICC Karim Khan
will visit Sudan next July.
The Government of Sudan and the Criminal Court signed a Memorandum of
Understanding in August 2021 regarding cooperation with the Court.
A delegation from the International Criminal Court arrived in
Khartoum to revitalize the understandings that were made with the
Sudanese government.
Reliable source told Darfur 24 that the delegation discussed with
some parties the possibility of convincing the suspect Abdullah
Banda to cooperate with the Hague based court.
Banda faces three counts of war crimes and is likely to be in Libya or Chad.
The source reported that the delegation discussed some administrative
issues related to the failure to grant court members entry permits to
the country.
