Sudan: protester killed in Khartoum
Khartoum, June 16,(Darfur24) A pprotester was killed Thursday, during
new protests in various parts of the capital, Khartoum, to demand an
end to the military’s dominance of power since the military coup last
year.
The Central Committee of Sudan Doctors said in a statement that a
demonstrator was killed by live ammunition in Omdurman’s convoy
heading to Parliament today, Thursday.
The committee clarified in a statement on its Facebook page that this
brings the number of victims of the repression of demonstrations to
102 since the start of the regular protests against the military coup
carried out by Al-Burhan on the twenty-fifth of October.
The United Nations, along with the African Union, is seeking to
facilitate talks between the Sudanese parties to resolve the crisis.
