El-Daein ,May 18(Darfur24) Doctors at El Daein Teaching Hospital in
East Darfur on Tuesday went on an open strike to protest the
deterioration of services in the doctors’ housing.
Doctor Musa Awad Musa told Darfur 24 that the main reason for the
strike was the lack of water in the housing and the poor meals
provided to the doctors.
He added: More than 20 doctors live in the restroom, and there is one
toilet and one bathroom, and the government pays 140,000 pounds for
housing expenses, and this is not enough to cover the water bill per
month.
