El-Geneina, April 23(Darfur24) The Nomad Youth Association in West Darfur accused the Sudanese Alliance movement of being behind the tribal events taking place in the city of Karinak, 75 kilometers east of El Geneina, the state capital.

On Friday night, an armed militia killed two of the nomads in their sleep, and after carrying out the crime, the perpetrators fled to the city of Karenak, and the families of the dead tracked the perpetrators to the inside of the city of Karenk, then the local executive director intervened with the aim of calming the situation and vowed to hand the perpetrators to justice within two hours But he failed, and the war broke out.

The nomad statement accused the Sudanese Alliance movement, led by the governor of West Darfur state, Khamis Abkar, of being behind all the tribal events in the state.

In their statement, the nomads demanded the state security committee to hand over the perpetrators to justice, and to expedite the bloodshed of innocent citizens. They also called on Governor Khamis Abkar to control his armed movement.

Meanwhile, the Association of Displaced and Refugee Youth in Dar Masalit said that what it described as the tribal militia launched a large-scale attack with heavy weapons on the city of Karinak in West Darfur yesterday morning – Friday – on three directions.
She stated that the attack killed 8 people and wounded 16 others, and the security situation is still stagnant and has even deteriorated with the complete inability of the state and central governments to put an end to the killing of citizens.

 

The statement added: We have been calling for the imposition of the rule of law and deterring criminals to restore things to normal, which contributes to the safe and dignified life of the state’s citizens so that they can practice their life activities as usual. The association of displaced persons and refugee camps in Darmasalit said that things cannot continue in this chaotic manner, in which hundreds of innocent people fall between martyrs and wounded, and demanded their statement to impose the rule of law and peaceful coexistence among the components of the tribal state.

 

Armed conflicts between the Arab tribes and the Masalit tribe in West Darfur renewed on Friday morning, against the backdrop of the killing of two shepherds yesterday, and the perpetrators were followed until they entered the Karinak area, which is in the majority of the Masalit tribe.
