Khartoum, April 3(Darfur24) The Emergency Lawyers Committee revealed that the chief judge summoned the judges who participated in the procession last March 26, to demand a condemnation of the coup against the civil authority.
The judgea also called for the end of Extrajudicial killings, widespread violations of resistance committees, trade unionists and politicians, in an attempt to stifle the revolutionary movement within the justice institutions
On March 26, the committee organized a procession in which a number of lawyers, jurists and judges participated.
The committee drew attention to its follow-up to all illegal decisions issued by the judiciary since the coup of the twenty-fifth, in response to the gains of the December revolution, and its return of a number of members of the former regime to the civil service without a legal basis and justification.
Announcing its full solidarity with the honorable judges who were summoned, and condemning the attempts to intimidate and subjugate the Sudanese judiciary in favor of the ambitions of the putschists and their former regime
Calling all judges and workers in the judiciary and the rest of the judicial authorities to stand against any attempt to silence the voice of truth and to confront any attempt to direct the Sudanese judiciary in favor of the coup authority in order to reach a justice system that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese for freedom, peace and justice.
