Khartoum, March 22 (Darfur24) Protesters closed main streets in residential neighborhoods in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, in response to calls by the resistance committees, in the context of the mass escalation of demands for democratic civilian rule in the country.

 

Darfur 24 monitored the closure of the main streets in Khartoum, Omdurman and Bahri, where cement barriers were placed on the main airport road opposite the Heart Center, and Berri Street was completely closed to traffic, and in Omdurman, Martyr Abdel Azim Street was closed with concrete blocks exceeding two meters in height

The committees’ pages on social media published videos and photos of a number of streets that were completely closed in different areas of the capital. The committees’ coordination also warned against engaging in clashes with the security forces in case the police tried to remove the barricades.
