Al-Obeid March 14 (Darfur24) The  General Criminal Court, in its session today, Monday, March 14, 2022, issued a death sentence by hanging  against a member of the Security and Intelligence Service in the city of Al-Obeid accused of killing the martyr Ahmed Safi Al-Din on April 7, 2019, and the blood’s guardians demanded retribution.

 

El-Obeid General Criminal Court, headed by Judge El-Sir Mohamed Ahmed, had indicted a member of the Sudanese Security and Intelligence Service under Article 130 of the Criminal Code of 1991, related to premeditated murder.

The court considered that the accused caused the death of the martyr Ahmed Safi Al-Din after he was run over by a car belonging to the Security and Intelligence Service on April 7, 2019.

The facts of the case refer to the fact that the accused ran over the martyr Ahmed Safi al-Din, after chasing him in the streets of the Amir neighborhood in the city of Al-Obeid.

The incident occurred on April 7, 2019 during the mass movement of the popular revolution that began in December of the year 2018, and the accused was driving – at that time – a car belonging to the Sudanese Security and Intelligence Service.

The court took its decision to return the case papers to charge the complaint under Article 130 of the Sudanese Criminal Code related to premeditated murder.
