Moscow , Feb 25 (Darfur24) Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, held in the Russian capital, Moscow, Thursday, a joint session of talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Media of the Sovereign Council said that the talks reviewed ways to develop and enhance aspects of cooperation between Sudan and Russia in various fields, as well as consultations on bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest.
The Sudanese and Russian sides agreed to expedite the activation of the agreements signed between the two countries, and to hold meetings of the joint ministerial committee, in addition to accelerating the work of all joint committees.
In his speech during the talks, the deputy chairman of the Sovereignty Council said that the visit confirmed Sudan’s determination to advance relations to broader horizons, in addition to strengthening cooperation between the two countries to achieve maximum benefit from their joint capabilities.
Daglo said that his discussions with the Russian Foreign Minister contributed to creating new understandings that will push joint action to benefit from the great opportunities offered by Sudan, in the fields of agriculture, mining, manufacturing industries, oil and gas and other economic fields.
