Khartoum, Feb7 (Darfur24) A lawyer told Darfur 24 that 88 detainees, including active members of the resistance committees, are facing uncertain fate in Soba prison, south of Khartoum.
The lawyer, working within the “emergency lawyers” stated that lawyers and families were not able to see the detainees because the visit is not permitted, indicating that the detainees were not subject to any investigations.
Massive campaigns of arrests were active among members of the resistance committees after the October 25 coup, one of the detainees went on a hunger strike to protest his imprisonment.
