El-Fashir, Feb 6 (Darfur24) Speaking to reporters on Saturday evening in El Fasher city, Governor of North Darfur, Nimr Abdel Rahman, said an armed group led by Mohamed Ibrahim Abu Jamba stormed former UNAMID premise with the aim of looting property, so ,when the joint force intervened to protect the compound , the armed group fired on the forces protecting the premise , killing First Lieutenant Mohamed Al Habib of the Rapid Support Forces and Commander Fadil Al Malik of the Sudanese Alliance
“The armed group led by Abu Jumba attacked former UNAMID headquarters with armed four-wheel drive vehicles and two trucks to the aim of loading the looted equipment” Added Nimir.
He stated that the leader of the group, Abu Jumba, was accused of several crimes committed within the state.
However, the governor directed the forces of the armed struggle movements that signed the Juba Agreement to remain in their positions during the next 72 hours.
