Khartoum, Jan.26(Darfur24) Darfur Bar Association DBA, has called for the release of a number of MSF doctors, who were arrested after leaving work at Al-Jawda Hospital in Khartoum on Monday.
DBA said in a statement issued Tuesday, “the security forces arrested 9 medical staff of the French organization Doctors Without Borders, some of them are Sudanese and others of different nationalities, after they performed their work at Al-Jawdah Hospital in Khartoum on Monday evening”.
The statement described the arrest as a clear violation of international and humanitarian laws, traditions, and norms.
DBA held the coup plotters and its forces for the safety of all MSF workers and for the safety of all doctors and health staff.
The statement also referred to the arrest of the lawyer and human rights defender Badr Al-Din Siddiq and a member of the resistance committee in the Sheikh Abu Zayd Abdul Majeed Arbab neighborhood in Khartoum.
