Bangui –Jan 16 (Darfur24) A court in the Central African Republic has ordered a release of three Sudanese prisoners charged of belonging to the banned silika organization.
The three men were set free on Saturday, after charges against them were dropped by a court in the capital Bangui.
Amer El-Sayed Abakar, cousin of one of the released prisoners, told Darfur 24 that the Central African judicial authorities released his cousin after spending three years in prison.
Al-Sayed said his cousin who resides in the Obo area of Birao region in the Central Africa Republic , was the head of the commercial chamber , and he was arrested when Silika forces attacked the city in 2019.
It is worth noting that the Sudanese residing in the Obo area were arrested during the attack on the city by Silika rebels three years ago.
