2.1.2021 (Nyala) Bank of Khartoum employees have been on strike since last Thursday , protesting against the arbitrary dismissal of 30 of the bank employees, and the failure to increase their wages.
One of the bank’s employees in the branch of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur told Darfur 24 -that the strike included all of the bank’s branches in the cities of the country, and that the strike would continue until the demands of the bank’s employees are met.
The employee who preferred to withhold his name ,stated that the bank headquarter has not dealt with the strike so far, but has sent warnings of dismissal to a number of branch managers in the states.
“The Bank manager reneged on his promise, and began to put pressure on the employees, and threatens to dismiss all those who demand workers’ rights” the employee said.
