15.12.2021( Khartoum) The military -civilian-led government has pledged to provide the necessary facilities to the International Criminal Court ICC to discharge it’s duties in accordance with the conditions, laws and protection of witnesses.
Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar , discussed in his office on Tuesday, with the ICC delegation, headed by Julian Samuel, Director of the Office of the Prosecutor of the Court, the issuing of visa to foreigners and protection of witnesses.
The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court is scheduled to visit Sudan in the coming days.
In a related development , member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Taher Abu Bakr Hajar, discussed with the ICC delegation the arrangements for the upcoming visit of the ICC Prosecutor to Sudan and the extradition to the suspects to the ICC.
According to the Sudan News Agency, the ICC delegation praised the position of the Sudanese government and its cooperation with the Hague-based court.
