4.12.2021(Khartoum) Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies, Dr. Abdul-Baqi Abdul-Qadir Al-Zubair, threatened to close the country if citizens did not comply with the directives of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies, and the directives of the Security and Defense Council, calling on citizens to adhere to wearing masks.
Abdul Baqi met in his office on Saturday, the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, the Director of the General Department of Basic Health Care, Dr. Khalil Muhammad Ibrahim, and Dr. Al-Fadil Muhammad Mahmoud, the Director of the Department of Emergency and Epidemiology at the Federal Ministry of Health and the Director General of Therapeutic Medicine.
The Information Office of the Federal Ministry of Health said that the member of the Sovereign Council, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies, directed the ministry to be fully prepared to confront the rise in Coronavirus cases.
According to the report, the total number of suspected cases since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 83,142, including 43,993 positive cases, and the number of people recovered since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 35,492.
The Undersecretary revealed federal and state teams working according to global guidelines to investigate and respond to the Corona pandemic, and stressed that his ministry will take immediate, strict measures in the event of a community spread of the disease that will lead to closing the areas in which cases appear to prevent the spread.
