27.11.2021 (Khartoum) On Saturday, Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk issued a decree dismissing the Director General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant-General, Khaled Mahdi Ibrahim Al-Imam, and his deputy, Lieutenant-General, Al-Sadiq Ali Ibrahim
ThePrime Minister’s Office said in a press statement seen by Darfur24 that Hamdok appointed Lieutenant-General Anan Hamid Mohamed Omar as Director General of the Police Forces, and Brigadier Muddathir Abdul Rahman Nasr Al-Din Abdullah as his deputy and general inspector of police forces.
However, police forces, led by the dismissed Director-General, suppressed the demonstrators in the capital, Khartoum, and a number of states of the country, by firing live ammunition and tear gas, which led to dozens of deaths and injuries among the protesters.
